Bringing America's founding story
home — to every corner of the nation
HISTORIC EXHIBITION
USC Hosts Historic National Archives Founding-Era Documents
The USC Fisher Museum of Art, the oldest art museum in the city of Los Angeles, will display rare founding
documents — most of which are leaving Washington, D.C., for the first time in many decades.
THE DOCUMENTS
Rare Artifacts of American History
The exhibition is part of an eight-city national tour celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, bringing priceless primary source documents out of their Washington vaults and into communities across America.
All originals — no facsimiles — no copies. All incredible, all instructional, all irreplaceable.
For the first time, historic and consequential documents fundamental to America’s founding and the beginning of the American government will be accessible to the American people across our nation.
LEAVING D.C. FOR THE FIRST TIME
A Once-in-a-Generation Viewing
Most of these documents have not left Washington, D.C., in many decades. This is a rare and fleeting opportunity to stand in the presence of the very words and signatures that forged a free nation.
Experience history not through a textbook, but face to face — in the city of Los Angeles.
On Display April 17 – May 3
